The Peninsula Cancer Alliance supported the development and implementation of virtual pre-assessment for patients starting SACT (systemic anti-cancer therapy) at two trusts within the Peninsula, enabling patients and their carers to complete pre-assessment triage in their own home ahead of starting treatment.

Using MSD’s Capacity Insights Tool (CIT), data from NHS SACT units was analysed to model current and future service needs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, optimise capacity, and support sustainable service delivery.
