Targeted Lung Health Checks on BBC Radio Cornwall!
University Hospitals Plymouth Consultant Cyrus Daneshvar was on BBC Radio Cornwall yesterday to talk about the Launch of the Targeted Lung Health Checks Programme. Julie Skentelbery led a very informative discussion around the importance of attending the appointments being offered to the population of Cornwall and what the aims of the programme are.
The Targeted Lung Health Check Programme is a new service offered to those aged 55 to 74 who are at a greater risk of developing lung cancer. Following an initial conversation with a health professional and, if needed, a simple scan, the Targeted Lung Health Check can identify signs of cancer at an early stage when it is much more treatable – saving lives.
We are asking people to look out for your letter from our provider InHealth inviting you to attend an appointment.
Further information on the health checks can be found here.
